Who I am and What I do...
I am a father, a brother, and a friend who believes in doing the right thing in whatever the case may be. "Do the right thing" is my personal mantra.

I do my best to live in the moment and take advantage of great opportunities. I can find a dance floor any place or time.

In life I've typically been a late bloomer and I'm just fine with that because it leaves room for growth. In fact I believe it's one of the things that helps keep me young with a vision of a different future. I'm not racing you or your success.

I do important work. I support and maintain a computer network for application developers, application security developers, and information security professionals by day and shape youth soccer players by night.

Not really sure where this site is headed, but I do know that it's going to be a tool for me to write more like I used...mind you that was 10years ago, approximately 3652 days ago. I think it's time to get back in touch with the right side of my brain, the creative side.

Do know that this my personal site. The views expressed here are mine alone and not those of my employer. Feel free to comment on FB or shoot me an e-mail. Whatever blows your hair back.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

It's true that laughter is the best medicine. It's the one human emotion that can literally change your state in an instant. It can easily make light of tough and heavy situations. I mean there are some parts of our world that are just really messed up and it could put us in a state of dispair. Or something could be hitting us close to home; you or a friend could be stressing over something, sick with an ailment, feeling lost in life, insecure about something....whatever the case may be we've all been there in one way or another.

One of the easiest and quickest reliefs of these feelings that hold us down is laughter. Tonight was SNL's 40th aniversary show...AND I MISSED IT. I was feeling a little bumbed about that so I naturally hit youtube to watch a few of my favorite commedians from the show to make up for the "temporary" loss (I say temporary because I'm sure I'll find it somewhere on the net if not NBC). Kristen Wiig is usually one of the first persons that comes to mind. I absolutely love her impersonations. You can check her out at The Wiigers anytime.

There's also Bill Hader, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and many more.

If you don't know PBS airs the Mark Twain award, whch is "...the Mark Twain prize recognizes the art of humorists who have had an impact on American society in ways similar to the distinguished 19th century novelist and essayist best known as Mark Twain." Ellen Degeneres has won this prize and the full show in her honor is great.

Will Ferrell has one of the funniest acceptance speeches ever. If you have about 10min to spare, I encourage you to get some laughs in right now.

My Space Time Continuum

This weekend is my weekend with my kids.

I picked them up just in time for lunch. Thankfully we all 3 share the same favorite restaurants; Chipotle, Pollo Loco, and Popeye's so it's fairly easy to come up with an answer of where to eat. We all share a high regard for Popey's chicken strips. I'm pretty sure we agree that they're sent to heaven to be fried then sent back to earth to be served to us. At least that's just how it feels because they're JUST THAT GOOD.

This afternoon we went to play soccer to finally take advantage of some good weather despite some slight sniffles and coughs from them. Here they are playing till past sun down with their cousins. Pics could be better, but it is what it is.

So now we're in the living room watching Mr. Peabody and Sherman for the cajillionth time. We all love this movie. When we saw this movie for the first couple of times we cracked up tons. Now when we watch it we shout out the points and puns in unison with the dialoge THEN we laugh that we do that.

Afterwards we'll end the night playing Hide-N-Go-Seek then hit the hay.

Right Here, Right Now

I'm listening to Rod Stewart's Mowtown Song as I write and I'm happily surprised that I'm writing again. I've been wanting to do this for a while now, but have always's pushed it off for one reason or another. It feels like this is the winning theme song to me overcoming this hurdle of getting started again. Granted I am using a slightly modifed version of one of my old blogs from many years ago, but it's a means to an end. Only Steven and Vanessa will recognize this because 10 years ago 99% of my friends weren't online.

So for the rest of you this site is new.
So welcome to my little spot of the net.
I'm back.
